Lau Blower Wheel 105/8D 1332401

The Lau 1332401 is a 10-5/8 inch diameter blower wheel with an approximately 8 inch width, supplied for direct-drive centrifugal blower assemblies in furnaces, air handlers, and fan coils.

The narrower width relative to diameter suits equipment where moderate airflow is required against a higher static pressure than a wider wheel of the same diameter would handle efficiently. Matching both dimensions matters: fitting a wider wheel to gain airflow raises motor load and current draw, and fitting a narrower one reduces airflow below the equipment's design requirement, which affects heat exchanger temperature rise in heating and evaporator coil temperature in cooling.

Forward-curved blade construction delivers high airflow per unit of tip speed and keeps operating noise low, but the blades foul readily. Any blower wheel being replaced should prompt inspection of the filter arrangement, since heavy blade deposits indicate that filtration is being bypassed or is inadequate.

Confirm diameter, width, bore diameter, hub position, and rotation direction before ordering. During installation, seat the set screw on the shaft flat, check clearance between wheel and housing at several points around the circumference, and rotate the assembly by hand before applying power.
