The Lau 1332402 is an 11-1/8 inch diameter by 8 inch wide blower wheel for direct-drive centrifugal blower assemblies in residential and light commercial air handling equipment.

The larger diameter with reduced width gives this wheel a fan curve suited to systems that must develop useful static pressure at moderate airflow. In practice, that describes a great many residential duct systems, which impose more resistance than their original design assumed because of added registers, restrictive filters, and flexible duct runs that were installed compressed or kinked.

Replacing a blower wheel is a reasonable opportunity to check the rest of the air path. Measure total external static pressure across the air handler after the repair; a reading substantially above the equipment rating means the blower is operating far left on its curve, delivering less air than the wheel is capable of and loading the motor unnecessarily.

Verify diameter, width, bore diameter, hub position, and rotation before ordering. Rotation is fixed by blade curvature.

Ensure the wheel is centred in the housing and that the inlet ring overlaps the wheel inlet correctly, since excessive gap at the inlet ring recirculates air within the housing and reduces delivered airflow.
