Full brim is the specification and it is a real fork rather than a style. A full brim runs all the way around the shell, which gives sun protection to the neck and ears and sheds rain away from the collar. For outdoor ground work — civils, roadworks, surveying, utilities, yards — that is a genuine benefit over a whole summer.

What it costs is clearance. A full brim catches on structure, which makes it wrong for overhead work, confined spaces, and anywhere a worker has to get their head into something. Those need a cap style.
