Jackson Safety JKS14948 Face Shield Adapter Aluminum Non-Slotted

The Jackson Safety JKS14948 is a face shield adapter in aluminium, non-slotted bracket type.

Note that this catalog lists a second aluminium non-slotted face shield adapter with identical stated specifications. Where two SKUs share every attribute in the data, something not captured in the specification differs — a crown configuration, a shield series it is built for, or a packaging quantity. Confirm which part you actually need against your headgear and hat rather than ordering on the description alone.

Aluminium is the material specification and it is chosen for heat. Plastic adapters are lighter, cheaper, and non-conductive, and they are correct for most industrial work — but sustained radiant heat softens and distorts them, and a distorted adapter no longer holds a shield in position. Foundry, forge, furnace, and heavy welding environments need aluminium. The trade is conductivity: electrical work wants plastic.

Non-slotted is the hard hat fitment. Slotted hats carry the rectangular accessory openings moulded into each side; non-slotted hats do not. There is no bridging between them, and this adapter needs a non-slotted hat.

Applications include foundries, forging, heavy welding, and high-heat industrial work.

Users include foundry workers, welders, and heavy fabrication operations.

Verify hat configuration and shield compatibility — the adapter has to match at both ends.
