The Jackson Safety JKS14393 is a face shield adapter, non-slotted bracket type.

Face shield adapters exist because head protection and face protection have to work as one system rather than as two things worn at once. A hard hat and a separate face shield headgear compete for the same space, and the result is a wearer choosing which one to keep. An adapter mounts the shield to the hat, so both stay on.
