Hart & Cooley Supply Register 303M 14X6 703895 White Reg Metal Hand

The Hart & Cooley 703895 is a 303M series supply register measuring 14 by 6 inches nominal, with a metal damper handle, finished in white.

The 14 by 6 proportion is among the most common supply register sizes in residential work, corresponding to the standard rectangular branch duct and boot dimensions used throughout the trade. That standardisation is convenient: replacement registers are readily available, and a register removed for redecoration can be replaced with a like for like unit years later.

Register selection should nonetheless be checked against airflow rather than simply matching the existing size. A register sized correctly for the airflow it carries operates at a face velocity that produces adequate throw without generating noise. Where a room has been extended, or a system replaced with one of different capacity, the airflow through an existing outlet may no longer suit the register fitted.

The metal damper handle is a durability feature. Plastic handles embrittle with age and heat and break when operated, leaving the damper fixed in whatever position it was last set.

Applications include residential and light commercial supply air outlets in floors, walls, and ceilings. Confirm the boot or duct opening dimension matches the nominal register size.
