Yellow Jacket Charging Hose 6 Red 22672

The Yellow Jacket 22672 is a 6 foot red charging hose for high side service.

Six foot high side hoses suit commercial and rooftop equipment where service valves are distant from a workable standing position.

Working on rooftop equipment introduces handling considerations that ground level work does not. Hoses draped across a running condenser fan, resting on hot discharge piping, or trailing where they can be stepped on will be damaged, and a hose damaged on a roof may fail under pressure with the technician in an exposed position.

Routing hoses deliberately, keeping them clear of moving parts and hot surfaces, and securing the manifold rather than leaving it to hang on the hoses, addresses this.

Wind is a further factor on roofs, and a manifold blown off a unit while connected applies considerable force to the hose fittings.

The general principle is that longer hoses give reach at the cost of more hose to manage, and managing it deliberately is part of using it safely.

Applications include commercial refrigeration and air conditioning service, rooftop equipment, and installations with distant service connections.
