Yellow Jacket 60 HD Plus II Compressor Charging High

The Yellow Jacket 19660 is a 60 inch heavy duty PLUS II compressor charging hose for high side service.

Heavy duty hoses are specified where the working conditions exceed what a standard service hose comfortably handles: higher pressures, more frequent use, harsher environments, or commercial and industrial equipment where the hose sees continuous service.

Working pressure and burst pressure ratings are the specifications that matter, and they must suit the refrigerant. Higher pressure refrigerants operate at pressures far above those of older refrigerants, and a hose adequate for one may be operating near its limit on another.

The consequences of a hose failure under pressure are serious. A rupture releases refrigerant rapidly, with risks of frostbite from liquid contact, oxygen displacement in confined spaces, and injury from the hose itself.

Hoses should be inspected before each use for cracking, particularly near the fittings where flexing concentrates, for bulging or soft spots indicating internal damage, and for damaged or missing gaskets.

A hose showing any of these should be replaced rather than used, and hoses should be replaced periodically regardless of appearance since deterioration is not always visible.
