Yellow Jacket A2L Titan 4V Manifold With Hoses 49975

The Yellow Jacket 49975 is a four valve Titan manifold with hoses, rated for A2L refrigerants.

Combining four valve capability with A2L rating addresses the direction the industry is moving. Lower global warming potential refrigerants classified as mildly flammable are progressively replacing earlier products under environmental regulation, and equipment rated for them is becoming a requirement rather than an option.

The A2L designation affects more than the manifold. Recovery machines, vacuum pumps, leak detectors, and charging equipment all require ratings suitable for mildly flammable refrigerants, since conventional equipment may contain ignition sources. Work practice changes too: ignition sources controlled in the area, attention to ventilation, and awareness that a leak in a confined space can reach a flammable concentration.

The four valve configuration provides the evacuation performance discussed for conventional manifolds, which matters equally on A2L systems.

Investing in A2L rated equipment ahead of encountering the refrigerants is reasonable planning, since the alternative is turning down work or using unsuitable equipment.

Applications include air conditioning, heat pump, and refrigeration service on A2L refrigerant systems.
