Yellow Jacket 4 Valve Titan Manifold F/410/404/22

The Yellow Jacket 49963 is a four valve Titan manifold configured for R-410A, R-404A, and R-22 service.

The four valve configuration is the significant feature, and its benefit is specific to evacuation.

A two valve manifold routes everything through a single centre port, so during evacuation the vacuum pump draws through the manifold body and its valves. At the extremely low pressures involved, that restriction substantially extends the time required to reach a deep vacuum, and in some cases prevents one being reached at all in reasonable time.

A four valve manifold adds separate large ports, allowing the vacuum pump and the refrigerant source to be connected simultaneously and providing a less restricted path for evacuation.

The practical effect is a meaningful reduction in evacuation time, and since inadequate evacuation is a leading cause of subsequent system problems, anything that makes proper evacuation quicker makes it more likely to be done properly.

Marking for three refrigerants provides direct pressure to saturation temperature conversion for the most commonly encountered systems.
