Yellow Jacket 3 PLUS2 Hose Set 21983

The Yellow Jacket 21983 is a 3 foot PLUS II charging hose set, supplying blue, red, and yellow hoses together.

Buying hoses as a matched set has practical advantages over assembling them individually. The three hoses are of the same specification and age, so they wear and are replaced together, and the colour coding is consistent.

The three foot length gives the smallest internal volume of the common sizes, which minimises refrigerant retained per connection and gives the least restriction during evacuation. It suits bench work, accessible equipment, and situations where the manifold sits close to the service ports.

A set of this length is frequently kept specifically for evacuation and for work where reach is not a constraint, alongside a longer set for field service.

All three hoses should be inspected together before use: gaskets present and serviceable, no cracking near the fittings, no bulging or soft areas, and the fittings turning freely.

Where the set includes valve depressors or low loss fittings, those should be checked for free operation, since a seized depressor prevents flow and a seized low loss valve prevents disconnection without loss.

Applications include refrigeration and air conditioning service, charging, evacuation, and recovery.
