The Yellow Jacket 25980 is a three pack of 6 inch Flex-Flow adapter hoses.

Short adapter hoses solve a specific and recurring problem: the service port is positioned where a standard hose cannot be connected without an awkward bend, or where the fitting fouls surrounding components.

Compressor service valves recessed within a cabinet, ports close to a panel edge, and connections on equipment installed with minimal clearance all present this. Forcing a standard hose into position stresses the fitting and the swaged joint, which is where hose failures originate.

A short flexible adapter provides an intermediate connection with a bend radius the fitting can tolerate, allowing the main hose to run away from the equipment at a sensible angle.

Adapters also add a connection point, and every connection is a potential leak. Gaskets at both ends of the adapter must be present and sound, and the assembly should be checked when a vacuum will not hold.
