The Shurtape 101015 PC857 is a two inch UL181 listed metallised duct tape for sealing duct joints and seams.

The UL 181 marking is what distinguishes a product intended for duct sealing from general purpose tape, and it is worth being precise about why it matters.

The listing indicates the product has been tested for the properties a duct closure system requires: flame spread and smoke development, since duct passes through the building and connects spaces; adhesion and durability under the temperature and humidity conditions duct experiences; and resistance to the ageing that causes ordinary tape to release.
