RGF UV Air Purifier UV Stick Light 24 VAC BLU-QR

The RGF BLU-QR is a UV stick light air purification unit operating on 24 volts AC, mounted in the air handler or duct to irradiate the coil and airstream.

The stick configuration describes a compact, single ended lamp assembly that mounts through a small opening in the cabinet or duct wall, with the lamp projecting inward and the electrical connection remaining accessible outside. That arrangement is deliberate and practical: it allows installation in equipment where there is no room for a larger housing, and it means lamp replacement can be performed without opening the cabinet or reaching into the airstream, which is a meaningful advantage in a tight mechanical closet or an attic air handler.

Operating on 24 volts AC, the unit powers from the equipment's existing control transformer, avoiding the need for a separate line voltage supply and receptacle at the air handler.

The purpose is coil hygiene and airstream treatment. Continuous UV-C irradiation of the evaporator coil and drain pan prevents the biological growth that otherwise insulates the coil, restricts airflow between fins, fouls the drain, and produces odour.

Lamp output declines steadily while the lamp remains visibly lit, so replacement must be scheduled by date rather than judged by inspection.

Applications include residential and light commercial air handlers, furnaces, and fan coils. De-energise before servicing and never view an energised UV-C lamp directly.
