DiversiTech TUVL-315 Replacement Lamp 3-Yr

The DiversiTech TUVL-315 is a three year replacement UV lamp for compatible DiversiTech germicidal air purification systems.

A three year lamp is specified where minimising service frequency is the priority. On installations with difficult access, on properties where scheduling a visit is disproportionately costly, or in commercial portfolios where the number of maintenance touches drives labour budgets, extending the interval from annual to triennial meaningfully reduces the cost of maintaining a UV installation over the equipment's life.

The trade-off is record keeping. A three year interval is long enough that installation dates are readily forgotten, ownership of a property may change, and the servicing contractor may not be the one who installed the system. Since a UV-C lamp continues to emit visible light long after its germicidal output has declined, there is no way to determine remaining life by inspection. Marking the installation date on the equipment housing, and recording it in the service file, is what makes a long interval lamp work as intended rather than becoming an installation that quietly stops functioning.

Lamps are matched to specific systems by length, base configuration, electrical characteristics, and mounting, so confirm the replacement against the installed unit.

De-energise before servicing, handle the glass with a cloth to avoid skin oils that create hot spots, and never view an energised UV-C lamp directly. Applications include residential and light commercial air handler, furnace, and fan coil UV systems.
