DiversiTech 2 Year Replacement Lamp TUVL-215P

The DiversiTech TUVL-215P is a two year replacement UV lamp for compatible DiversiTech germicidal air purification systems.

The two year service interval is the practical distinction. Extended life lamps reduce the frequency of a service task that is frequently forgotten, and on installations where access to the air handler is awkward, an attic, a crawl space, or a tight mechanical closet, halving the number of visits has genuine value. On a property under a maintenance agreement, a two year lamp also aligns naturally with alternating annual service scopes.

The underlying reason lamp replacement matters at all is that UV-C output declines steadily while visible illumination continues. A lit lamp is not evidence of a working system, since germicidal output can fall below useful levels well before the lamp stops glowing. Replacement must therefore be scheduled by elapsed time, and a durable record of the installation date, marked on the equipment itself, is the most reliable way to ensure it happens.

Lamps are matched to specific systems by length, base type, electrical characteristics, and mounting arrangement, so verify the replacement against the installed unit rather than the product family.

De-energise the system before servicing, handle the glass envelope with a cloth or gloves since skin oils shorten lamp life, and never view an energised UV-C lamp directly.
