DiversiTech UV Air Purifier Kit Germicidal UV System

The DiversiTech UV24 is a germicidal UV air purification kit supplying a complete system for installation in air handlers, furnaces, and fan coil equipment.

Supplied as a kit, the package contains the lamp, housing, mounting hardware, and electrical connection components needed to complete a typical installation, which reduces the sourcing effort and the risk of arriving on site without a required fitting.

The purpose of an in-equipment UV system is primarily coil hygiene. The evaporator coil and drain pan are wet, cool, and dark through the entire cooling season, which is close to ideal for biological growth. That growth builds between fins where it insulates the coil surface and restricts airflow, fouls the drain pan and contributes to blockages and overflow, and is a well recognised source of the musty odour associated with air conditioning. Continuous UV-C irradiation of those surfaces prevents growth from establishing, preserving heat transfer, airflow, and drainage over the equipment's service life.

Mounting position matters. The lamp should be located to irradiate the coil face and drain pan directly, with adequate clearance and without obstructing airflow or service access.

Lamp output declines while the lamp continues to illuminate, so replace on schedule rather than on appearance.

Applications include residential and light commercial air handlers, furnaces, and fan coils. De-energise before servicing and never view an energised UV-C lamp directly.
