Moldex MOX6844 Earplug Dispenser Pura-Fit Uncorded One Size Foam Tapered

The Moldex MOX6844 is a Pura-Fit earplug dispenser, one size, foam plugs, tapered, uncorded, green, 33 dB noise reduction rating, wall mount, PVC free, ANSI S3.19-1974, 250 pair per dispenser.

A dispenser is the piece of hearing conservation that actually changes behaviour, and it is worth being clear about why, because it looks like packaging.

Noise-induced hearing loss is cumulative, permanent, and completely painless. Nothing warns anybody. There is no moment of discomfort that prompts someone to protect themselves, which means protection depends entirely on plugs being worn every time — and that depends on getting a pair being effortless.

A box of plugs in the stores produces a workforce that goes without, because nobody walks back across a plant for a two-cent plug when the job takes a minute. A dispenser mounted at the door means grabbing a pair on the way in. That one decision about placement outperforms every poster ever printed.

The hygiene case runs alongside: a dispenser presents one pair at a time rather than letting every hand in the plant into an open box.

At 250 pair this suits moderate traffic. The dispenser must never be empty — a worker who finds it empty stops checking.

The 33 dB rating is the top of the foam range, with the usual derating caveat.

Applications include manufacturing, plant entrances, and construction.
