Moldex MOX6645 Earplug Dispenser SparkPlugs Disposable Uncorded One Size

The Moldex MOX6645 is a SparkPlugs earplug dispenser, one size, disposable foam plugs, tapered, uncorded, multi-color, 33 dB noise reduction rating, wall mount, PVC free, ANSI S3.19-1974, 500 pair per dispenser.

At 500 pair this is the larger SparkPlugs dispenser, and capacity is a more consequential decision than it looks.

A dispenser works because getting a plug takes no effort. An empty dispenser destroys that instantly — and worse than instantly, because a worker who reaches for a dispenser and finds it empty learns not to bother next time. That lesson persists after the dispenser is refilled.

So capacity should be matched to traffic rather than to budget. A high-traffic entrance running through 250 pair in three weeks needs the 500, or it needs somebody checking it on a schedule that will not survive a busy month. The 250 suits lower traffic or a location that gets walked past by whoever refills things.

Consumption should be high, incidentally. Plugs are meant to be used once and thrown away, and a dispenser that lasts a year is telling you nobody is wearing them.

The 33 dB rating is the top of the foam plug range, with the standard caveat that laboratory ratings overstate real-world performance and are generally derated.

Wall mounting at the point of entry is what makes the whole thing work.

Applications include manufacturing, plant entrances, and construction.
