Moldex MOX6609 Earplug Camo Plugs Disposable Corded One Size Tapered Camouflage

The Moldex MOX6609 is a Camo Plugs disposable earplug, one size, tapered, corded, camouflage, extra-soft low-pressure foam, with a green cord, 100 pair per box.

Corded is the specification and it changes how a plug is used rather than how it performs.

The case for a cord is real. In work that moves in and out of noise, plugs come out constantly — and an uncorded plug that comes out goes in a pocket, onto a bench, or on the floor. A pocket is filthy, and a plug that has been in a pocket goes back into an ear carrying whatever was in there. Outer ear infections in industrial workforces trace back to exactly this. A cord means the plugs hang around the neck, clean, and available.

The case against is machinery. A cord dangling near rotating equipment is a snag hazard, and that is not theoretical. Uncorded plugs exist for that reason.

So the choice is the environment, not the preference.

Note that no noise reduction rating is stated in this data. That is the number a buyer needs, and it should be obtained before this is listed — the comparable Moldex foam plugs are rated 33 dB.

Low-pressure foam expands with less force, which is what keeps a plug in an ear all day rather than until lunchtime.

Applications include manufacturing, construction, and intermittent noise work.
