Gardner Bender GBE46-415 Heavy Duty Cable Tie 15 Inch 0.25 Inch Nylon 6/6

The Gardner Bender GBE46-415 is a heavy duty cable tie, 15 inch long, rated to 120 lb tensile strength, in natural Nylon 6/6, 0.25 inch wide, with a 4 inch maximum bundle diameter. Supplied 50 per pack with 10 packs per case.

Worth reading carefully: this tie is 15 inches long but its maximum bundle diameter is only 4 inches. Those two numbers are not in conflict — they describe different things, and confusing them is a common ordering error. Length is the strap; bundle diameter is what the strap can close around while still leaving enough tail to grip and pull. A long tie with a modest bundle capacity is designed to be pulled hand-tight through a head rather than to wrap a large loom.

Nylon 6/6 is the standard engineering polymer for cable ties, chosen for its combination of tensile strength, flexibility, and resistance to abrasion and common shop chemicals.

The 120 lb tensile rating places this in the general heavy duty class — strong enough for gathered conductor bundles, hose and line runs, and equipment harnesses.

Natural is undyed nylon and is specified for indoor and enclosed installations: panels, junction boxes, machine cabinets, and interior conduit. Anything in sunlight needs the UV-stabilised black version.

The 50 per pack, 10 packs per case configuration suits a contractor's van stock or a shop store.

Applications include electrical installation, panel and machine building, plant maintenance, and OEM assembly.
