DiversiTech Toggle Switch S.P. ED1238

The DiversiTech ED1238 is a single pole toggle switch used to control one circuit conductor in electrical and mechanical equipment applications. Single pole is the standard configuration for switching a 120 volt load or the control leg of a low voltage circuit from one location.

The switch interrupts the ungrounded conductor feeding the load, opening the circuit when toggled off and restoring it when toggled on. Its mechanical action provides clear tactile and visual indication of position, which technicians rely on when verifying that a circuit has been opened before beginning work or when confirming a control function during troubleshooting.

Common uses in HVAC and refrigeration work include service switches at furnaces and air handlers, on-off control for auxiliary equipment such as inline duct fans or condensate pumps, light circuits in mechanical rooms and walk-in boxes, and general control functions built into custom panels. The switch is equally suited to replacement work where an original toggle has worn, arced, or failed to make reliable contact.

Toggle switches are also used in low voltage control applications, where they interrupt a 24V thermostat or interlock signal to disable a stage or function during commissioning and diagnostics.
