The DiversiTech ED494 is a metal bat handle double pole double throw (DPDT) toggle switch for control and selection functions in HVAC, refrigeration, and general electrical equipment.

The DPDT arrangement carries two independent poles, each able to transfer its common terminal between two output positions. Rather than simply interrupting a circuit, the switch redirects it, which makes it the right choice for mode selection and source transfer tasks. Field applications include selecting between two blower speed taps, transferring control of a load between automatic and manual sources, switching a system between heating and cooling control paths in a custom panel, and reversing polarity in low voltage circuits.

Metal bat handle construction provides mechanical strength and a decisive throw.
