DiversiTech Auxiliary Switch TMX1NC-1NO

The DiversiTech TMX1NC-1NO auxiliary switch adds one normally closed and one normally open contact to a compatible TMX series contactor, providing status feedback and accessory switching without installing a separate relay.

The auxiliary block mounts to the contactor and follows the movement of its armature. When the contactor coil energizes and the main power poles close, the auxiliary normally open contact closes and the normally closed contact opens at the same instant. This gives a direct, mechanically linked indication that the contactor has actually pulled in, which is more reliable than inferring operation from a coil voltage measurement alone.

Having both contact types available in one block covers most control needs. The normally open contact is used to energize something when the load runs, such as a run indicator lamp, a crankcase heater interlock, a BMS status input, or a second stage enable. The normally closed contact is used for the inverse function, energizing a circuit only while the contactor is de-energized, which suits standby heaters, alarm circuits, and lockout logic.

Because the auxiliary contacts are electrically separate from the power poles, low voltage control circuits can be switched safely without exposure to line potential.

Applications include residential and light commercial air conditioning, heat pump control, refrigeration rack panels, and general motor control assemblies. Confirm compatibility with the specific TMX contactor model and check the contact rating against the control circuit load. De-energize and lock out the panel before installing the auxiliary block.
