DiversiTech Toggle Switch D.P. ED1262-2

The DiversiTech ED1262-2 double pole toggle switch provides simultaneous switching of two circuit conductors from a single lever, suited to 240 volt single phase loads and paired circuit control in HVAC, refrigeration, and general electrical work.

Both poles open and close together, so a 240V load supplied by two ungrounded conductors is fully isolated when the switch is off. This is important for service safety: breaking a single leg leaves the equipment at line potential relative to ground, while double pole switching removes voltage from both sides of the load. The same configuration can control two independent circuits that must always operate together, such as a fan and a damper motor, or a heater and its indicating lamp.

Mechanical toggle actuation gives clear position feedback without instrumentation, which technicians value when working in equipment rooms, rooftop enclosures, and cold storage spaces where conditions make meter work awkward.

Applications include equipment service switches, panel-mounted control for two-wire and three-wire loads, walk-in refrigeration light and fan circuits, custom control panel construction, and direct replacement of failed original equipment switches. Arcing, pitted contacts, or a switch that no longer holds position reliably are common reasons for replacement.

Match the voltage and amperage rating to the connected load, with additional margin where inductive inrush is expected from motors, transformers, or contactor coils. Mount in an approved enclosure, make secure terminations, and verify compliance with applicable electrical code and equipment listings before returning the system to service.
