The Venti P4D04VK is a 4 inch concentric vent kit for direct vent condensing appliances, providing combined intake and exhaust through a single penetration.

Four inch venting is required where appliance input or total equivalent vent length exceeds what a 3 inch system can carry. This occurs on larger condensing furnaces and boilers, and on installations where the vent must run a considerable distance or negotiate several offsets before reaching the termination. Because each elbow contributes an equivalent length allowance in the manufacturer's tables, a run with multiple offsets can require upsizing even when the straight pipe length appears modest.

Upsizing is not optional where the tables call for it. An undersized vent on a condensing appliance produces a pressure switch that fails to prove, and the resulting lockouts often present as intermittent no heat calls that appear only in cold weather when the appliance runs longest.

The concentric arrangement carries the exhaust within the intake pipe, serving both with one penetration and one termination assembly, and fixing the geometric relationship between them so flue products cannot be drawn into the combustion air.

Termination clearances to grade, snow line, windows, doors, air intakes, soffits, gas meters, and property lines apply as set by the appliance instructions and the applicable code.
