The Venti P4D03VK is a 3 inch concentric vent kit for direct vent condensing appliances, combining intake and exhaust in a single penetration.

Three inch is the predominant vent size for residential condensing furnaces and many condensing boilers and water heaters. The correct diameter is established from the appliance manufacturer's vent tables, which relate input rating, total equivalent length, and the number of elbows to a minimum size. Each elbow adds an equivalent length allowance, and a run with several offsets can exceed the permitted total well before the physical pipe length appears excessive.

The concentric configuration carries the exhaust within the intake, so both are served by one penetration and one termination. This simplifies the opening, the flashing or sealing detail, and the appearance, and it fixes the relationship between intake and exhaust so recirculation of flue products into the combustion air cannot occur through poor termination placement.

Termination clearances still apply in full. Height above grade and above the anticipated snow line, and separation from windows, doors, mechanical air intakes, soffits, gas meters and regulators, and property lines are set by the appliance instructions and the applicable code, and are commonly the factor that determines where the appliance can be located.
