The Simple Green SGN19005 is Crystal cleaner and degreaser, biodegradable, 5 gal pail, colourless, unscented, VOC content 3.25 g/L, butyl free, phosphate free, non-flammable, no Prop 65 listing.

Colourless and unscented are the specifications and they are the entire product. Everything else in this range is coloured and fragranced; Crystal deliberately is not.

The reason is contamination. In food processing, pharmaceutical manufacture, and any operation where a cleaner touches a surface that later touches product, dye and fragrance are not features — they are foreign substances that can transfer, taint, and get detected. A cleaner that leaves a citrus note behind is a cleaner that has left something behind, and the whole point of the last rinse is that nothing has.

So Crystal is the formula for the places where the cleaner has to disappear completely.
