CRC CRC02133 Cleaner 14 oz Clear/Colorless Spray Can

The CRC02133 is a cleaner supplied in a 14 oz spray can with a 14 fl oz net fill, packaged 1 each with 12 per case. It is a clear, colorless liquid, classified extremely flammable, with a flash point below 0 °F and a VOC content of 552.

The sub-zero flash point puts this at the most volatile end of the cleaner range. It is a fast-flushing product: sprayed on, it carries contamination away and evaporates without leaving residue, which is what a part needs when it must go straight back into service dry. The trade-off is handling. A liquid with a flash point below 0 °F produces ignitable vapour at any temperature the product will ever be stored or used at, and that vapour is heavier than air and travels. Ignition sources — welding, grinding, pilot lights, energised equipment, static — must be eliminated from the work area, not merely kept at a distance.

The VOC content of 552 is the specification to check before purchase rather than after. Volatile organic compound limits are set at state and regional level in the U.S., and a high-VOC cleaner is restricted or prohibited in some jurisdictions. Confirm the product is compliant in the state of use.
