The Simple Green SGN13457 is anti-spatter, ready to use, in a non-flammable and non-corrosive formula stated as safe for aluminium, steel, and other metal surfaces, 5 gallon pail, 1 pail per case.

Non-flammable is the specification and in a welding bay that is not a small thing.

Solvent-based anti-spatters have been standard for decades and they are flammable liquids being applied within inches of an open arc, sprayed onto metal that is about to be heated to melting. That is exactly the combination that fire prevention procedures exist to eliminate, and it is tolerated because the product works. A water-based non-flammable formula removes the hazard rather than managing it.

The stated aluminium compatibility matters for the same reason it does elsewhere in this range. Aluminium fabrication is a growing share of the work, and a product that attacks aluminium has no place in a shop that welds it.

At 5 gallons this is a production shop buying for a dip tank or a decanting station rather than a bottle at a bench.

The specification to verify before selling into a shop that paints its own work: silicone content. Silicone-based anti-spatters contaminate surfaces so thoroughly that the parts will not take paint, and the fisheyes surface in the paint booth weeks later with nobody tracing them back.
