The Simple Green SGN13351 is a canister of dual-sided biodegradable safety towels, 75 count, colourless, unscented, VOC content 0.08 percent, polypropylene, not Green Seal certified, no Prop 65 listing.

Dual-sided is the specification and it is a genuinely good piece of design.

One side is textured for scrubbing — it has the abrasion to lift dried, bonded, stubborn soil. The other side is smooth for wiping — it removes the loosened soil and the cleaner without scratching what is underneath. That is the actual sequence of cleaning something, and a single-texture towel does one half of it well and the other badly.

Anyone who has scrubbed a surface with an abrasive wipe and then scratched it while wiping off understands the value.

Polypropylene is the substrate and it matters: unlike cotton or paper, it does not shed lint, and it does not fall apart when saturated with solvent. It also does not absorb the cleaner into itself and hold it away from the work.
