Showa SHW7500PFXL Disposable Glove Single Use; Powder Free X-Large 5.3 4 mil

The Showa SHW7500PFXL is a disposable glove, X-Large, 5.3 length, 4 mil thickness, nitrile, bisque grip, blue, single use, powder free.

The 4 mil thickness is the specification and it is the number that decides whether the glove is right for the job.

Disposable nitrile runs roughly from 3 mil to 8 mil, and the scale is a straight trade. Thin gloves give tactile feedback — a wearer can feel a small component, a fastener, a texture — and they tear. Thick gloves survive mechanical work and the wearer feels almost nothing.

Four mil is the light-duty end: food handling, medical, inspection, light assembly. It is the wrong glove for an engine bay, where it will be shredded in ten minutes and the wearer will conclude that nitrile gloves are useless. That is a specification error, not a product failure.

The caveat that applies to every disposable regardless of thickness: it is a splash glove. Disposable nitrile has a breakthrough time measured in minutes against most chemicals, and thickness does not change that meaningfully. Chemical work needs a chemical glove with a verified breakthrough time.

Powder free eliminates the aerosolised starch that contaminates product and, on latex gloves, sensitised a generation of healthcare workers.

Single use means single use. A disposable glove reused is a contaminated glove.

Applications include food handling, medical, and light assembly.
