Product Highlights
Description
The Lakeland LDIJFR2 is a JFR2 glove connection system for chemical protective clothing.
Note before anything else: despite the "glove system" name, this is not a glove. It is the connector that seals a glove to a chemical suit sleeve — Lakeland's Push-Lock, also listed as Push-Fit. Anyone ordering expecting gloves will be surprised, and the source data does not make this clear.
What it does is solve the weakest point in chemical protective clothing. A chemical suit is only as good as its openings, and the wrist is the worst of them: the suit ends, the glove begins, and between them is a gap. The common answer is adhesive tape, which is exactly as reliable as the person who wrapped it and has never been tested to anything.
The Push-Lock uses two concentric conical rings that lock together with the sleeve and glove fabric trapped between them, forming a liquid-tight seal. Lakeland states the system is tested to a CE Type 3 jet test and certified for use with their chemical protective coveralls, and that it is reusable, though it may need decontamination before reuse.
One set secures one pair of gloves. Lakeland lists compatibility with their ChemMax, MicroMax, Safegard, and Interceptor garments, noting that very thick gloves may not suit.
Verify compatibility with your specific garment and glove.
