The MCR Safety MCR3501XL is a pair of drivers gloves, leather, X-Large, gold, slip-on open cuff, unlined, 1.0 to 1.5 mm thick, leather cuff, full leather back, select grade.

The driver's glove is one of the oldest patterns in work gloves and it survives because of what the 1.0 to 1.5 mm thickness and the unlined construction do together: they get out of the way.

A lined glove is warmer and clumsier. Lining adds bulk between the hand and the work, and it shifts — which is why lined gloves feel like they are turning on the hand when gripping something small. An unlined glove of thin leather moves with the hand, so the wearer can feel the thing they are holding. The trade is honest: thin, unlined leather gives no thermal protection and modest cut resistance. This is a handling glove, not a protective one.
