Showa SHW7500PFM Disposable Glove Single Use; Powder Free Medium 5.3 4 mil

The Showa SHW7500PFM is a disposable glove, medium, 5.3 length, 4 mil thickness, nitrile, bisque grip, blue, single use, powder free.

Blue is the specification and it is doing a job that is easy to miss.

Disposable gloves are blue in food operations for one reason: if a fragment tears off and ends up in the product, it has to be found. Blue does not occur in food. A blue fragment on a line, in a hopper, or under a metal detector is visible and identifiable, where a clear or white fragment disappears into whatever it landed in.

That is a documented food safety principle rather than a colour preference, and it is why blue dominates the category.

Blue also distinguishes nitrile from latex at a glance in a facility that stocks both — which matters where anyone is latex-sensitised.

Nitrile itself is the reason the category moved away from latex: it causes no latex allergy, it resists oils and fuels that degrade natural rubber, and it punctures more predictably rather than tearing catastrophically.

At 4 mil this is a thin, high-dexterity disposable. It is a splash glove, not a chemical glove — breakthrough on a disposable is measured in minutes and it is not a barrier.

Bisque grip is the textured finish that gives purchase when wet.

Applications include food handling, medical, and assembly.
