The Robertshaw 710-502 is a millivolt gas valve rated for high capacity applications.

Each of these reduces the pilot flame, and a reduced pilot flame means reduced thermopile output and a system that becomes progressively less reliable.

Cleaning the pilot assembly and verifying the flame properly envelops the thermopile is therefore the central maintenance task, and it addresses the majority of millivolt system faults.

Confirm gas type, connection sizes, and capacity against the appliance, and leak test every joint before returning to service.
