PIP PIN50-N160G/XL Protective Industrial Products Assurance Cut Resistant Glove

The PIP PIN50-N160G/XL is an Assurance glove, flock lined, raised diamond style, unsupported nitrile, 15 gauge, green. Replaces 50-G25G/XL.

Two data problems need flagging before anything else. The part number ends /XL while the description states Large — verify which. And the source describes this as a cut resistant glove: unsupported nitrile is a chemical resistant glove, not a cut resistant one, and no ANSI cut level is stated. That description will put this glove in front of the wrong customer for the wrong hazard, which on a cut hazard is a genuine problem.

What it actually is: an unsupported nitrile chemical glove. Unsupported means the nitrile is the whole glove — there is no fabric liner inside carrying it, so the barrier is continuous with no fabric to wick a chemical through. That is what a chemical glove requires.

Flock lining is the cotton layer bonded to the inside. It absorbs sweat and it makes the glove possible to pull on and off, which an unlined nitrile glove is not after ten minutes.

The raised diamond pattern is the grip texture — it displaces liquid film, on the same principle as a tyre tread.

Note the replacement information: this supersedes 50-G25G/XL.

Verify chemical compatibility against a breakthrough chart before relying on any chemical glove.
