PIP PIN34-875/L Protective Industrial Products G-Tek Maxiflex II X-Large

The PIP PIN34-875/L is a G-Tek MaxiFlex II glove, black and grey, micro-foam nitrile coated palm, full finger and knuckles with seamless knit nylon, 12 per case.

Note a data error: the part number ends /L, denoting Large, while the description states X-Large. The comparable /XL listing in this range also states X-Large. One of these is wrong, and glove sizing is not a field to leave ambiguous.

The coating coverage is what defines MaxiFlex II against the standard MaxiFlex: palm, full finger, and knuckles rather than palm and fingertips only.

That extension matters for a specific reason. A palm-and-fingertip coating grips whatever is held in the palm. It does nothing for the back of the fingers and the knuckles — which is the part of the hand that drags across a surface when reaching into a confined space, and the part that meets the abrasive edge when pulling a hand back out of an engine bay. Extending the coating over the knuckles protects the area that actually gets scuffed.

The trade is breathability. More coating means less open knit, and less open knit means a warmer glove.

Seamless knit nylon means no internal seam against the hand.

Micro-foam nitrile grips oily work by drawing the film into the coating.
