Description
The PIP PIN34-874/XXL is a pair of G-Tek MaxiFlex nitrile gloves, premium black micro-foam nitrile, coated palm and finger tips, foam nitrile, 2X-Large, black coated.
At 2X-Large the sizing point worth making is that coated knit gloves are sized to be snug, and that runs against the instinct to size up for comfort.
The whole proposition of a thin coated knit is tactile feedback — the wearer feels the work through the glove. That only happens if the glove is against the skin. A loose one puts a layer of moving fabric between hand and object, which is exactly what the glove was chosen to avoid, and the wearer ends up gripping harder to compensate.
Loose fingertips are also the mechanism behind glove injuries around rotating equipment: empty material catches and draws the hand in.
So the correct fit is snug enough to move with the hand. That means stocking the full range rather than issuing large to everyone.
Micro-foam nitrile is the coating. Nitrile resists oils that destroy latex, and the porous foam draws the oil film into itself so it grips the part underneath rather than sliding on the film.
Palm and fingertip coating leaves the back breathable, which is what makes it wearable all shift.
