The PIP PIN34-874/XL is a pair of G-Tek MaxiFlex nitrile gloves, premium black micro-foam nitrile, coated palm and finger tips, foam nitrile, X-Large, black coated.

Nitrile is the coating polymer and the choice is about what it survives.

Latex grips superbly and it is destroyed by oil — petroleum products degrade natural rubber on contact, and a latex-coated glove in an engine bay softens and breaks down within days. Polyurethane is thin and precise and it is poor in heavy oil. Nitrile resists oils, fuels, and greases, which is why it dominates automotive and mechanical work.

Combine that chemistry with a micro-foam structure and you get the glove's actual advantage: the porous coating draws the oil film into itself, so it contacts the part underneath rather than hydroplaning on top of it. Smooth-coated gloves slip on oily work; foam nitrile grips it.

The palm and fingertip coating leaves the back knit and breathable. That is what keeps the glove wearable for a shift, and a wearable glove is a worn glove.
