The PIP PIN34-874/M is a pair of G-Tek MaxiFlex nitrile gloves, premium black micro-foam nitrile, coated palm and finger tips, foam nitrile, medium, black coated.

The coating pattern — palm and fingertips only — is worth explaining, because it looks like a cost saving and is a design decision.

A fully coated glove is waterproof and it is also airtight. Hands sweat, the sweat has nowhere to go, and within an hour the glove is wet inside. A wet glove is uncomfortable, it slides on the hand, and it comes off. That is not a comfort footnote — a glove in a pocket protects nothing, and the single largest cause of hand injuries is gloves not being worn.

Coating the palm and fingertips puts grip exactly where the hand contacts the work, and leaves the back as open knit that breathes. The hand stays dry and the glove stays on.

Micro-foam nitrile is the coating and its virtue is oil. A porous foam draws the oil film into itself so the coating touches the part underneath, where a smooth coating would hydroplane on it.
