The PIP PIN34-874/L is a pair of G-Tek MaxiFlex nitrile gloves, premium black micro-foam nitrile, coated palm and finger tips, foam nitrile, large, black coated.

Micro-foam nitrile is the specification and it solves the problem that smooth coatings cannot.

A smooth polyurethane or nitrile coating grips by contact. Introduce oil and the film sits between glove and object, and the glove hydroplanes — the wearer grips harder, and the part still slips. Anyone handling oily components in smooth-coated gloves knows the feeling.

A foam coating is porous. The oil is drawn into the foam structure rather than sitting on top of it, so the coating contacts the part underneath the film. That is why foam nitrile is the standard for oily handling and why it grips better wet than dry-coated gloves do.

The foam is also breathable, which is why these are wearable for a shift where a solid coating turns into a sauna.

Nitrile itself resists oils and fuels that would degrade latex.

Coating the palm and fingertips only leaves the back knit and breathable.
