PIP PIN299-13285 Contractor First Aid Kit 10 Person Plastic Box Gasketed

The PIP PIN299-13285 is a contractor first aid kit for 10 people in a gasketed plastic box, 36 per case.

The gasketed box is the specification and it is doing more than it appears to.

A first aid kit on a construction site lives in a truck, a gang box, or a trailer, and it experiences everything the site does: rain, dust, concrete slurry, and temperature swings. An ungasketed box lets all of it in. Dressings absorb moisture and are no longer sterile. Adhesive bandages lose their adhesive. Tape becomes useless. And none of that is discovered until someone opens the kit with a bleeding hand, which is the worst possible moment for the discovery.

A gasket keeps the contents in the condition they were supplied in.

The 10 person rating is the sizing basis, and it is worth understanding as a starting point rather than an answer. First aid kit contents are specified by standards that distinguish between general workplace use and higher-risk environments — construction being the latter, with more bleeding injuries and more trauma. Verify the kit's class against the requirement for your site rather than counting heads.

The 36 per case quantity is for a company kitting out vehicles and gang boxes.

Kits get used and not restocked. Check them on a schedule.
