Nidec/Emerson Blower Motor 1/3 HP 1075 RPM 115V

The Nidec/Emerson EL3585 is a 1/3 horsepower, 1075 RPM, 115 volt PSC blower motor for direct-drive indoor blower applications in furnaces, air handlers, and fan coil units.

The EL series is Emerson's economy-line direct-drive blower motor range, built to the same fundamental PSC design as the premium series but positioned for cost-sensitive replacement work. For a service contractor the choice generally comes down to expected remaining equipment life: on a system with several seasons left, an economy motor is a sound repair, while equipment nearing replacement rarely justifies a premium part.

At 1/3 horsepower and 1075 RPM, this motor covers the most common residential blower size on a 115 volt supply. Multiple speed taps allow heating and cooling airflow to be selected independently.

A correctly rated run capacitor is required and must remain permanently connected in the auxiliary winding circuit.

Verify horsepower, RPM, voltage, rotation, frame diameter, shaft diameter and length, mounting arrangement, and capacitor rating before ordering. Clean the blower wheel while the assembly is out; dirt accumulation on forward-curved blades reduces airflow substantially and is easily addressed while the wheel is accessible but rarely revisited once the equipment is reassembled.
