The Fasco D132 is a 1/20 horsepower blower motor for HVAC applications.

At 1/20 horsepower this is a small motor, typical of draft inducers, small auxiliary blowers, and air movement in compact equipment.

Draft inducer applications deserve particular mention because the motor's condition directly affects a safety function. The inducer establishes the airflow through the heat exchanger and vent that the pressure switch proves before ignition is permitted. A motor running slow from worn bearings, or a wheel loaded with debris, may produce insufficient pressure to close the switch, which locks the appliance out.

That lockout is the system working correctly, and the fault is the motor rather than the switch. Replacing pressure switches on appliances whose inducers are failing is a common misdiagnosis.
