Microflex MFXMK-296-L Mircoflex MidKnight Powder Free Nitrile Exam Gloves

The Microflex MFXMK-296-L is a MidKnight powder free nitrile exam glove, large, black, fully textured, 100 gloves per box, 10 boxes per case.

Nitrile is the material and it resolves the two problems latex has. It causes no latex allergy, and it resists oils, fuels, and many solvents that degrade latex on contact. For automotive and industrial work, the second reason alone settles it.

Black is the specification worth thinking about, and it does two contradictory things.

The stated benefit is masking stains — a black glove still looks presentable after handling grease, which matters for anyone customer-facing. The unstated benefit is more important: a torn black glove is instantly visible against skin. Anyone who has torn a clear glove and not noticed for ten minutes understands why that matters.

The unstated cost is the other side of the same coin: black hides what is on the glove. Contamination that would be obvious on a blue glove is invisible on a black one, which is why food service and medical work generally do not use black.

Fully textured means the texture runs across the whole glove rather than just the fingertips. Texture displaces liquid film — the tyre-tread principle — which is what maintains grip when wet.

Applications include automotive, industrial, laboratory, and first response.
