MCR Safety MCRVBBCL3LM Luminator Hi-Viz Value Bomber Backet Class 3 Zipper Front

The MCR Safety MCRVBBCL3LM is a Luminator Hi-Viz Value Bomber jacket, Class 3, insulated rain jacket, fluorescent lime and black, with 2 inch silver reflective stripes, zipper front, multiple pockets, size Medium.

Class 3 is the specification and it is the one that carries legal weight. ANSI/ISEA 107 defines high-visibility classes by how much background material and retroreflective tape a garment carries, and Class 3 is the highest — it requires sleeves, and it is what roadway work at higher speeds and low-light conditions calls for. A Class 2 vest does not substitute.

The reason sleeves matter is worth understanding: Class 3 exists because a driver needs to recognise a human form, not a bright patch. Sleeves and moving limbs are what read as a person at distance and speed. That is why the class specifies coverage rather than just brightness.

The fluorescent lime is the daytime half of the system — it converts UV into visible light, which is why it glows in overcast and dusk. The silver retroreflective stripes are the night half, returning headlight beams to the driver. Two independent mechanisms for two different conditions.

Insulated and waterproof makes this a winter roadway garment.

Two data notes: the description reads "Backet" for jacket, and it references VBBCL3L while stating size Medium. Verify the size before publishing.
