Product Highlights
Description
The Lakeland LDIMVP428-2XL is an MVP428 critical environment coverall, size 2X-Large, with a storm flap over zipper closure, hooded, elastic wrists and ankles, serged seams, royal blue, 25 each per case.
Critical environment is the designation and it points in a direction people frequently get backwards. Most protective clothing protects the wearer from the environment. Critical environment garments do the opposite — they protect the product from the wearer. Humans shed skin, hair, and fibres constantly, and in cleanrooms, electronics assembly, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and precision work, that shedding is the contamination.
Which is why the elastic wrists, elastic ankles, and hood matter. They are not comfort features; they close the openings a person sheds through.
The serged seam is the specification worth being honest about. Serged seams are sewn — strong, flexible, and comfortable, and they have needle holes. They are not liquid-proof. For particulate control that is fine, and it is what this garment is for. For liquid chemical splash, a bound or taped seam is required, and a serged garment is the wrong tool.
The storm flap over the zipper covers the one remaining gap.
At 25 per case this is facility packaging for a consumable garment.
Applications include cleanrooms, electronics assembly, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and precision finishing.
