The MCR Safety MCRMO100M is a pair of ForceFlex mechanics gloves, synthetic, medium, brown, adjustable closure, unlined, neoprene cuff, TPR glove back, premium grade.

The TPR back is the specification and it addresses a hazard that no other rating in this catalogue covers.

TPR is thermoplastic rubber, moulded into ridges across the back of the hand and fingers. Its job is impact — the knuckle struck against a frame, the finger caught between a component and a bulkhead, the back of the hand hit by a slipping wrench. Anyone who works in an engine bay, on drilling equipment, or in heavy mechanical assembly has done all three.

The point worth being explicit about: impact protection is not cut protection, and neither is measured by the other. ANSI cut levels say nothing about impact, and impact protection is rated separately under its own standard. A glove with an impressive TPR back may have no cut rating at all, and this one states none.

So this is a glove for a bruising environment rather than a cutting one.
