Master Lock MLS3KA-0814 Padlock Keyed alike Laminated steel body 1-9/16"

The Master Lock MLS3KA-0814 is a keyed alike padlock with a laminated steel body, 1-9/16 inch, steel, silver, 9/32 inch shackle diameter, 3/4 inch shackle clearance, key number 0814.

Two things here matter and the key number is the more important one.

Keyed alike means every lock in the batch opens with the same key — and the key number is what identifies which batch. Ordering 0814 gets locks that match the 0814 locks you already have. Ordering keyed alike without specifying the number gets locks that match each other and not your existing set, which is a subtle and infuriating way to end up with two keyrings.

That number should be recorded somewhere other than on the key.

Keyed alike is right when one person opens many locks — a fleet, a site, a run of gates. The cost is that one compromised key opens everything, so it is a convenience decision with a security price.

Laminated steel is the body construction: layered steel plates riveted together. It is tough, it resists cutting and prying, and it is the traditional padlock body for good reason.

The 3/4 inch shackle clearance is the fitment number — enough for a hasp, not enough for a chain. Measure before ordering.

Applications include gates, hasps, sheds, and site security.
